It is that time of year when weird, and certainly wonderful, caterpillars emerge in these parts. This shot was taken exactly a year ago today on the school field!

Philip and I spent ages trying to identify it and only discovered that it was a moth butterfly! Apparently these types of caterpillars can cause allergic reactions because of their hairs!

However, their beauty is something to admire.
