Gargoyle

Headed of into Edinburgh with my good lady wife today and as the sun came back out, the weather was again fab.

There were still a great many tourists enjoying the sights and sounds that Edinburgh has to offer - which I must say as a local can often go un-noticed.

One of these "un-noticed" things are the many Gargoyles that decorate the numerous buildings in the older parts of Edinburgh - and one such chap has been "captured" today!

Also got me thinking of how much do we notice in our familiar surroundings - we rush from "here to there" and so much beauty/interesting stuff goes by without us stopping to look or even just acknowledging that it is there.

Must just learn to stop more often and appreciate all the beauty - both man made and natural - that surrounds me!
