Wiedervereinigungstag
That would be "reunification day" but it's actually called "Der Tag Der Deutschen Einheit" here. And it's a holiday.
And when the weather is as good as it was today (about 23°C), everywhere pretty was full of people.
We went to Schierstein and discovered that about 10,000 other people had had the same idea. Still, it was good to stretch the legs and check out the latest with the birdlife around my favourite harbour.
The swan is not preening but rather it's sleeping and now I think about it, a nap sounds like a half decent idea.
Might be worth seeing embiggened.
