Cleaning up

A rather lovely dinner party tonight. Lovely to see old friends. First time we've cooked in our new kitchen in a big way and I have to say it was great, particularly dancing to Prince whilst we chopped vegetables and whisked cream.

For the record:

Aubergine cheesecake with salad and home made bread
Crusted cod with an amazing tadig-like rice of almonds and dates
Trifle made with gin and raspberries and home made bay custard (i.e. custard made with bay leaves rather than vanilla pods)
Cheese and coffee and cherry vodka

And we've done the washing up before heading for bed ...
