Waiting in the shadows

Last night I had a great time with my friends.

I left my flat at around 1.00pm in the afternoon today, the temperature was roughly 25C. I arrived in Edinburgh at around 10.30pm, the temperature was around 5C. The journey took about 10 hours and I've experienced a temperature drop of around 20 degrees.

It's been a long journey but it went well. I didn't do much this morning apart from spending some time with my family and getting my luggage ready. I'm always in a very strange mood on my last day in Barcelona. It feels strange to be in one country in the morning and in a completely different one in the evening. Also, seeing the family and going back to the place where I was born and I used to live in creates a rollercoaster in my mind. Don't know how to explain, but I'm sure some of the expats here will understand. I feel numb at the moment.... I just need time to readjust now. A good sleep in my bed this evening will help.

I'm glad I have a day off tomorrow to get things sorted. Holiday blues will follow, I think...
