Great British Bake Off?

Well not exactly.

But it gave me some good material.

The Kielder Marathon is blessed with support from the whole community.

Today is the turn of the villagers of Falstone to let us sample their wares.

They are selling these amazing cakes to raise funds for a community defibrillator.

A wonderful display of cakes in a marquee......

If you have seen The Great British Bake Off you will know where this is going.....

With a few hundred decibels of sound to back me up I duly announced to the assembled athletes and spectators the wonderful layering, icing and lack of soggy bottoms!
