no homework!

This blip is for wed 8th not tues 7th - not sure why my phone made my blip yesterday today...

Today the p1 boys and girls went on a walking and drawing adventure around town. They were late back and so the teacher didn't have time to sort them out with homework, so no homework tonight! hooray! Win win!

We didn't have to hang around for half an hour as big bro C is heading off on an after school playdate. It still took us 25 mins tho to walk the 200m from school to car.... we "needed" to climb the school gate, climb the climbing tree (with its neat queue of girls waiting for a turn - that D and his girlie pal, M just climbed past and above...maybe i should teach him some queuing manners?), crawl into the bush den under the climbing tree, play space ships in there, try to climb some other trees, collect some larch cones, say hi to a puppy, collect some weapons/sticks and mountain bike through the woods....and get our shorts very very muddy :-D

This blip is our stick pile outside our front door (and a very vigorous looking dandelion....). We allow favourite sticks to come home but they have to be left by the front door. Whenever I dare to call the stick pile my kindling pile I am corrected in no uncertain terms - this one is a light sabre, this is a blaster, this one is a plough, this was a brusher thing, this is a weapon, this was the one we found by the stream, this was fishing rod, this was the pokey stick for that hole in the tree, this one is from when we were camping, and that one is a very very special one because its all smooth. It amuses me that in the morning they can forget, as they go from the kitchen to their bedroom, that they need to get dressed yet they can remember every imagining for every stick they have ever collected!
