Nothing Would Come Between Us Two Dreamers...
If you would, have a look at my fascia and soffits.
Can you see them both? Can you?
This was a majorly grown up activity. For two years, Si had contemplated a ladder, and painted panels of wood; however an onslaught of calls from Roofing companies, and the periodic drop on the drive of another lump of wood from the rotting panels which were there told us action had to be taken before the next season of bad weather.
So on the instruction of Tooli, we requested several quotes (She watches a lot of Dom sorts it out), and checked customer reviews on line. We weren't to take the cheapest, we weren't to take the most expensive, we weren't even to take the middle one. Not unless the customer satisfaction reviews met an appropriate standard.
We finally decided and went neither for the most expensive by 1000.... or the cheapest, by £275, but for one which fell somewhere in the middle. We disregarded the guy who called last Wednesday, and offered to give me the quote two days after the job was done. (I asked him for the quote in June, along all the others)
The men arrived, it was pissing with rain, absolutely pissing. I said, as they got into Wet Gear and Snorkels, "are you sure". "Yes". Was the answer, "The weather is going to improve by 11". And improve by 11 it did, and finally our roof was shiny and happy.
Contented and happy now... just contemplating new windows.... or new kitchen... or decorating rooms...
STOP GROWN UP ENOUGH!!
