Can you imagine going through life without ever really getting the chance to relax?

Such is a ducks life. Watch them as they nap. Eyes closed...eyes open. Eyes closed...eyes open. How can you sleep when you have to keep opening your eyes?

This male was on guard because a big beagle was coming in our direction. Just after I took the picture, he waddled off into the water.
