The comfort of ducks ..

I find it very hard sometimes to keep calm and patient, when mum repeats herself endlessly, and at these times I'm prompted to get out with my camera.

Today I headed for the mere and enjoyed an hour or so, sitting on the door ledge of my van, throwing grain to the ducks and geese and swans. I hand fed them today - those swans are very feisty, but the ducks are fairly gentle - and I got to stroke a few of them as well.
