Corbel

Today's the day .................... to go up

We went up into the Chartreuse mountains for a picnic today.

The view from our picnic spot on the edge of the village of Corbel was breathtaking - from the massive cliffs of the Roche Véran at 1429 m, the Roche Rousse and Rocher du Frou to the Pointe du Frou at 1450 m. Down below us was the little church of St Jean-Baptiste with its beautiful stained glass windows designed by the French painter Arcabas and installed in 1997.

The weather was warm and the sun shone. It was a taste of summer again in the middle of October ..................
