Leaves

Day 1 of the no screaming mission (not me, Little Miss E)....success. Only two screams. One when I drove fast through a puddle and the second was when her brother threw leaves on her. I wonder how it will go tomorrow? I wonder if she will remember to use words like a big girl and not screech like a dolphin!

It was Munchkin 1's last day at school today, for half term. Oh now nice it will be not to drive to school in the morning. Especially as we slept in today. Oops. Well, that may have had something to do with me ending up sleeping in a toddler bed at 5am this morning. No comments please.

Good news on the old house today.....drum roll....we exchange contracts on Friday, complete on Monday. Thank goodness. It must be one of the longest cash sales ever. Fingers crossed all good and no more delays.
Munckin 1 did try and trick his daddy when he called by saying I had bought a car...well ordered one.

More good news as well. It pays to complain once in a while. Voucher on its way from a very reputable footwear store in compensation for the ill fitting of my daughters shoes...twice.

Managed to start work on transforming two of the heavy gilt edged mirrors from the old house. One, was a wedding present which has now had a makeover, thanks to a bit of sandpaper and can of off white spray paint. It now has pride of place on our fireplace, until I can find some suitable screws to fix it to the wall. The other, we inherited from an old neighbour. Its huge and when I'm finished with it will take pride of place over the fireplace in the new home when its built.

Tonights Blip is of Munckin 1, just before his sister threw leaves on him. We made a monster pile of leaves from the thousands that have fallen in the garden. A lot of kicking and throwing ensued in the rain, while I tried to capture autumnal children at play....it didn't work!
