Longwood Children's Garden

It's been difficult trying to blip everyday. A fourth snowstorm came in on Thursday night and Friday, so school was called off. This time we were just on the fringe of the storm, so no disability claims filed for shoveling our drive this time. Friday, good friends Ann and Ryan from Ann Arbor came to visit for the weekend (after enjoying a week of sight seeing in D.C.). Tys, their four-year-old won the quote of the week, asking his parents, "When do we get to see the Obamument?" I chuckle every time.

Everyone went to check out the conservatory at Longwood Gardens today except Lewis and I. Lewis was under the weather with a temperature and sore throat. So, this photo is credited to Ann (guest blipper, if you will). Later in the evening we parents secured a babysitter and spent the evening at a restaurant sampling the menu together. It felt so liberating to have ADULT time. We sampled an ostrich, hog, & venison sampler, crab nachos, a goat cheese appetizer, loads of Victory beer, and two desserts: a chocolate fudge brownie bomb and macadamia cheese cake. It was so wonderful being with our friends. We stayed up till nearly 2 in the morning!!
