What you can't see in this image is the first bee, on account of bee # 2 is standing on the bee # 1's head.

I took about 50 images trying to get the pair of them duking it out, but was, by and large, unsuccessful.

What happened was that Bee # 1 was happily gorging away on the nectar inside this Crepuscule Rose. Bee # 2 came along and wanted to join in.

Bee # 1 took great exception, and tried to fight off Bee # 2. The trouble is that I think she was just a little bit drunk, and was not able to eject Bee # 2.

Fascinating to watch.
