Parque das Nacoes
Flanked by the Vasco de Gama Bridge this is the site of Lisbon's sea-themed Expo 98. Therefore it is also where the Oceanario is situated which is the world's second largest aquarium so we just had to visit. It was great and the impossibly cuddly looking sea otters swimming and twirling in the water got our main vote!
From here we took the cable car to the other side of the Parque which was very exciting before choosing a waterfront cafe for some lunch.
We caught the metro back to Baixa Chiado which is really deep underground - the network of escalators and tunnels was an adventure in itself!
Another wander through the streets stopping off at several shops for the kids to spend their holiday money. So far Dexter has bought two cars and Olivia just can't find anything that she really wants despite visiting a lovely toy shop where I could have sorted Christmas out!
