Open Spaces

I took Dylan for a walk onto Shottery Fields this morning; it’s not normally this empty, but there’s plenty of room for him to have a run.

Later I went to see John in Lickey. After a chat with Eileen we went to Longbridge, an area which has been completely redeveloped since the demise of the MG Rover plant with clean lined, modern buildings such as the new Bournville College. There are wide walkways and a clutch of eateries and pubs, plus, inevitably, a new Sainsburys.

We went to the Hungry Horse for lunch. The food was quite good, the prices very reasonable and there was plenty of room to sit and chat. I had their vegetarian burger, a habit I’m getting into lately, trying the burgers in every pub we eat in to pick the best veggie burger available. This one scored about 6.5 out of ten.
