Rome wasn't built in a day....

Another day of dazzling sights. After a long queue, we visit the President's Palace - tall men in uniforms & feathery hats, golden rooms. Next stop the top of The Victor Emmanuel II memorial (which I love) and its stunning views across Rome. Lunch in the rooftop café. Then we walk to the vast, iconic Colosseum. Outside there are men dressed as Romans, artists & street entertainers. A vibrant, busy atmosphere.

Fabulous weather, lots of walking, a great number of steps, amazed at Dad's stamina.
