Vatican & Vespas

Delicious breakfast in hotel's rooftop restaurant with a Vatican view. Arranged tomorrow's trip to Pompeii. Dodged all the motorbikes and Vespas. Looked around an almost unbelievably ornate Basilica with the chains Peter was imprisoned with on display. Went around the remains of the Roman Forum in hot sunshine. Visited a beautiful be-fountained piazza and looked over towards Vatican City, as we walked beside the Tiber. Bought Rebekah a LBD.
