Well I never?!

I had to blip these two old duffers this evening. They have been sat on our windowsill in a freeze frame stand off for a couple of weeks. James bought them for Corin for his birthday - there's two old geezers on their mobility scooters, and two old ladies with their zimmer frames. The old ladies stalk along flat surfaces with a disturbing look on their face - I think of "Nanageddon" (the Mighty Boosh) every time we wind the ladies up and let them loose. The old geezers go with some speed, particularly on the wood floor in the living room, and they have been known to do some pretty nifty stop/go turns, particularly when they chance upon either of the cats. The cats are bemused and can't quite figure out what they are.

In a related matter, on the way to the butty shop I heard an interesting if not surreal set of interviews on the radio about whether people who drive mobility scooters should have to take a test and hold a licence to drive them. Then I discovered that if a vehicle can go over 8 miles an hour, it needs a road fund licence...mobility scooters CAN go up to 8 miles an hour and apparently, you can get them pimped up to go faster.

A terrifying thought - it's bad enough when the mobility scooter comes bearing down on you in Asda, without the prospect of supercharged scooters...although, on reflection, I could see that Grandad might have gone for that if he'd had the option when he was alive!!!

Ninja Monkey is having a lie down in a darkened room somewhere, prior to tackling the seating plan that she keeps putting off. However, given that NM read the contract with the hotel last night and discovered that everything needs to be ready by 20th March, she can avoid seating plans and menu choices no longer - finalisation calls (particularly as is the Hen weekend next weekend...prepare for carnage).
