Farm Shop

Spent a couple of hours at the primary school where I am a governor and afterwards carried on to this farmshop at Teston to buy most of their pickling onions. It's a great pity this shop is the other side of town, a 16 mile round trip from where we live, as it is a real farmshop selling fruit they grow themselves and vegetables from local producers where possible. Too many "farmshops" and farmers markets are anything but selling cupcakes, olive oils, artisan bread, tired expensive vegetables and other trendy stuff. They would be better sticking to stuff that grows on local farms.

After lunch I went swimming and got home just as the worker arrived home too. A nice cup of tea before writing up the report of Saturday's game and cooking dinner.
