Cadaver

A visit on a damp grey day to Exeter Cathedral with its magnificent world beating uninterrupted stone nave. Some impressive bosses and effigies. And then in the North quire was this stone cadaver of an unknown person.

I don't recall seeing this type of depiction of death in a cathedral previously so it merits the blip.

Day rounded off with an enjoyable visit to my brother's in-laws near Ilminster followed by a horribly wet and foggy drive back in the dark.
