One Tree Standing
Standing on the ridge under The Monument, at the mercy of every wind that blows, the rugged tenacity of this lone tree appeals to my appreciation of doggedness. Maybe I'd like to be more like that tree.
The road from Port Levy, back over the hill to Purau and Lyttelton Harbour, passes beneath the track that leads up to The Monument, should you ever want to get a very grand view of the surroundings.
Thinking about 'One Tree Hill' - reminded me of this phrase - You're the one I want standing next to me when all my dreams come true, and you're the one I want next to me if they don't. Having dreams is so much better than thinking about house repairs!
