Passing traffic
Another stunning day at sea, bluest of colours and prettiest of waves. We are off Yemen and only about 20 hours to Salalah.
We are in the recognised shipping channel - a kind of wide spaced marine convoy - and we see passing traffic. Very few cruise ships down here (although we know the Minerva is following, having stopped off in Jordan and Eritrea. )
I've spent wonderful time just looking out to sea. No creatures yet today but I have a peaceful shady haven on deck 6.
I took this photo and noticed that the fire hoses, primed, the best pirate defence, Are seen in this photo.
Our captain asked us if we were enjoying our pirate cruise. We all said a resounding YES.
To his credit we are not scared. They all seem in control. (And honestly, the measures put in place which have SO reduced the risk have been reassuring).
We can watch "Captain Phillips" - but it doesn't seem to be available on our screens until we are further on. I wonder why.
Please forgive my lack of comments. I do appreciate you stopping by and sharing my adventure.
