Lifes a beach

Wouldn't you like to be working at a place like this? The guy on the right was playing with a kayak paddle while his colleague was instructing the two in lifejackets on how to kayak. I stopped and had a yarn to him. He thought it would have been busier as a lot of Christchurch people come to Kaiteriteri for their long anniversary day weekend. I think they were still getting up. I went looking for the waka ama races but they weren't happening either. Still, it was nice to be at the beach with the golden sands and the sun shining and the tide coming in. Bring on summer.
