Out and About

Farmerboy and I decided to head to Motueka today, to have a look around, and to also get the groceries. We went shopping, and ended up at Whitwell shoes. What an amazing store! I ended up purchasing a pair of summer sandals, which I'm rather chuffed about.

We went out for lunch at a local cafe, then did some more shopping and headed to the Supermarket. Came out of there just about needing to remortgage the farm!

We then headed to Ruby Bay and sat on the beach, admiring the view, and enjoying the beautiful warm weather (21 degrees C). Then we drove to Mapua and the wharf (that's where this photo was taken). It's been years since I had been there. We had an ice-cream, and then wandered around the craft and other shops. We decided to drive home through the inland route, through Dovedale, and onto the Motueka River Road highway. It was great to see some beautiful (and different) farm land.

We arrived back home to the rain and cold (11 degrees C!). We felt like getting back in the car and heading back to the warmth of Motueka!
