Calm, quiet day

Once again, I slept in til 11.50am and woke to a text to say that C and S were shopping in MK and would be popping in with Teddy, so no baby yet! We had tea and played with Teddy for a few hours. I'm so glad they came over. They took all the frozen ready meals away with them and seemed delighted with them. Having made meatballs for them, I really fancied some myself so am making some now to have during the week, especially as I had loads of my tomato sauce left from yesterday too.

Today, I emptied the dining room bar the tables and chairs (see blip), took down the curtains. and hoovered the walls and ceilings in readiness for decorating this week. The cow pat green will be gracing two walls by the end of the week if all goes well. I'm still leaning towards magenta on a couple of my bedroom walls too, but I need to see the wallpaper when it arrives to check.

I've tried and failed to restart the heating and hot water today despite following the re-set button instructions, which worked just fine yesterday. I've tried seven times but have given up now, so I ended up with a warm/cold hairwash and shower this evening. Hmmmmm. I have had to put a few layers on but at least it's not that cold for November at the mo.

I'll be watching Downton Abbey and I'm a Celebrity (guilty pleasure time) tonight and am looking forward to a half day tomorrow, though I guess I'll be meeting the plumber again...
