Short Circuit

Ohmygosh, what a day. It turns out the electric problems over at Mum's are very complicated, and in the meantime very unsafe. We spent the day trying to get an electrician round; eventually settling for a trusted one to come out on Monday. Someone came round and spent four hours checking all the plugs and junction boxes to try and isolate the area of the problem, but we all felt it was best to not risk it and turned the electricity off until Monday. Mum came and spent the night at ours- we treated ourselves to a fish and chip tea (well, I had chips with a homemade salad- the fish shop isn't so great for veggies!), and some wine/whiskey. Mum was final able to try and relax in front of Strictly, and sensibly fell asleep for most of the disappointing Gravity.
