Felixstowe Port at Night

This is the view from Landguard Fort Viewing Area at the Port of Felixstowe at 19.30 this evening.
The container ship, in the centre of the picture and under the cranes is the Cosco Italy, built 2014 and registered in Hong Kong. Her gross tonnage is 153,660 tons and her deadweight is 157,000 tons. Her length is 366 metres and breadth 52 metres. Maximum speed in 14.8/12.1 knots and draught is 13.7 metres.
The crane with the blue/white lights is a piling vessel putting in piles to extend the superstructure of the deep water quay by 100 metres. I wouldn't like to be near by when it is being used, the noise is horrendous apparently!
I love the all the coloured lights and especially how they are reflecting into the water.
This was taken hand held as it was blowing a gale so no chance of using the tripod and just after the heavens opened, it was an interesting drive home again.
You can see much more detail in large.
