Katie-Sue Z and the original Jane C

The volunteer farewell is a well-established tradition at SAEP, during which we have coffee as a group and those who've worked with the person say a few words before presenting them with a certificate of appreciation. These can be burdensome when a dud volunteer heads out, or else ten people leave after only two weeks, but in general I get verklempt at every one (sometimes I get verklempt just to use that word). Norton is particularly good at giving impromptu honorary speeches when someone has made an impact, and these are two who received the former for doing the latter. The good news is that unlike most people I meet at SAEP, I'll get to see them again.

Bongani was more photogenic a moment ago but is struggling to get down a dry bite of muffin.
