The Pacific Ocean.

Heading south on Highway 1. When the Americans build things they build them big - cars, roads, burgers, people, skyscrapers and the Pacific Ocean. I know they didn't build that last one but some of them think they did. (Not you Bill, you have seen some of the other works of Slarty Bartfast, the doyen of the Norwegian coastline) As we stood watching the waves we saw our first Monarch butterfly as it floated past looking a bit lost. As Margie said, it should have stuck with us as we are heading towards the Seqoia Groves where they shelter over the winter.
