Work guilt
Headed straight from nursery drop off to the Trafford Centre this morning to get an early march on Christmas shopping. Stopped for a coffee first (pictured) and bumped into my two friends Laura and Kate and their adorable new babies.
Then had lunch with my sister at Yo Sushi and managed to get all Squidge's presents sorted. So instead of nursery guilt, today I had work guilt! You can't win can you?
Home to emails and a poorly grumpy husband (with a list of jobs half done - get Xmas decs down from the loft, put bins out etc - well if he can go into work, I thought he could manage a bit if housework!) I am a meanie, I know.
Picked Squidge up and was told she had been awful at nursery today - hitting, screaming, pushing and shouting all day. It was pretty horrible being told that as it's in sharp contrast to our usual handovers. I asked Squidge what had happened on the way home and she seemed to understand she'd been naughty. As a consequence we said no TV tonight. Cue hysteria. It's going to be a long night.
