Urban Lerwick

A fairly dull day with a few showers, now the wind has picked up in the evening!

A fairly quiet day at work in the museum but as always, plenty to be getting on with and setting up for an event tonight.
A few hours off this evening before I have to head to the pub tonight, to work! Been a week since I was last in, even though I was ill, it's been a fine break away :)

Walking through the lanes of Lerwick at lunchtime. In the 1950s they ripped the heart out of parts of Lerwick, demolished some lovely old houses and lanes and replaced it with a 1950s utopias! They never made it to the heights of mainland UK buildings but similar idea on a smaller scale. Luckily the social problems are on a smaller scale too but no one has been cutting the grass here :) Taken at Mounthooly Place, Lerwick.
