Tales from the Old Mills

By Oldmills

Crusty Oul Fella

Spent the day earning my crust in Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford today.

Its beginning to seem to me that it embraces more "characters" and hairy freaks than even West Wicklow does....

Short staffed, so couldnt repair to a total timewarp of a pub I discovered there recently, for a sneaky lunchtime pint...

Maybe next week...

This Oul Fella paused and posed when I let a shout at him, then pegged it on his unsuitably glittery mountain bike, weekend wellie boots flubbling as he pedalled away, (to the pub, probably, lucky old bastard)...

As I write, Im watching the opening of the Scotland/England game...

And got a chill listening to the Scottish national anthem being sung by thousands.

It reminded me of THAT time we beat The Old Enemy in Croke Park.

Guess who Im shouting for?
