Tinily Tilly

After a good night’s sleep on a very soft and bouncy bed, I was first up and showered. We had a superb ‘continental’ breakfast at our leisure then I headed back down the motorway and enjoyed a good hour in the Brackley Antiques Cellar sourcing a new oval mirror for my bedroom. I duly found a lovely large, old mahogany framed one for just £15. Bargain.

Then I popped into see C as she had said they’d be in. On the way, I had a chat with Aunty D who was eager for news of the new baby.

When I got to Chacombe, C was asleep while Tilly also slept so I spent a nice hour or so with S and Teddy playing and then as S fed Teddy in the kitchen I got a lovely long cuddle with Tilly as she slept on my shoulder. She snuffled and snuggled and was so peaceful. It was a gorgeous time, quiet and magical, just watching her little face and rosy cheeks close up. She looks so much like my sister. I am pleased for her as I knew she was disappointed that there is nothing obvious of her in Teddy!

As I could see they were tired and expecting other guests too, I left fairly soon and did a quick Waitrose shop, before coming home, changing a bed and sitting down for a little catch up. I’m hoping to Skype with N and C shortly and start a bit of clearing some of B’s stuff in the front room. I need to start thinking about what I might say in my interview tomorrow afternoon too…
