Dusky temple

My flip flop didn't break on this visit to Angkor Wat, which was a welcome first.

I don't go to Angkor Wat anymore to be wowed by the temples. But I enjoy taking first-time visitors as they are usually impressed and awed by it, especially if you can get away from the crowds of iPad camera clutchers and guards whistling at you if you try and get into the main temple complex after sunset.

Thoroughly enjoyable afternoon spent gadding about by bike, in weather that was not too hot, visiting a quieter temple that I'd not seen before, with an enthusiastic companion who was loving soaking up the ambience.
