The Grampians
We left Port Fairy and headed north towards The Grampians, soon leaving the traffic and rain behind us. The road was straight for mile after mile with no other cars in either direction. Kangaroos and wallabies were along the way just standing watching us -even when we pulled up beside them they stood there. The temperature now up to 27 is brilliant and is beginning to restore our faith in Australia . Currently we are staying about 3 miles outside the tourist centre of Halls Gap in a log cabin in the middle of the woods. We sat and watched the kangaroos bounce along accross the decked area as we bbq. The cabin is basically glass all along one side and the back decked area so is quite amazing.
