Green tea

Tonight Peter and I went for a meal together in one of the oldest restaurants in Hong Kong. It has had an interesting history, owned by two brothers who fell out and fought bitterly for the business. At the height of the court case one of them sadly died. The restaurant is on Hong Kong Island in the trendy district of Lan Kwai Fong.

More than half a century ago, it was a modest cooked food stall in Kwong Yuen West Street. Its founder, Mr. Kam Shui Fai was renowned for his Roast Goose. So even tourists and crewmen flocked in groups to savour the speciality from Hong Kong-Macau Ferry Terminal.

Now it occupies six floors on Wellington Street and it is still the place to go for Roast Goose.

Tonight we had pork suckling pig and of course Roast Goose, pak choy, and fried rice in cured meat and of course Jasmine tea. I meant to take a picture but it was not possible. So returning to my room I used the tea making pot to make some green tea in celebration of a lovely evening.
