My final session
A celebratory Tsing Tao (if I am honest two) and the teaching is done. Had a great last day as I decided to try an experiential exercise which the students worked so well at. I wanted to test their learning because they are so reluctant to talk in English in class. So I devised an exercise which took about an hour to see what they had learnt. They worked really hard both in the morning class and tonight.
The photo is of the evening class, you can see one of the groups working in the task. I seekily took the pic. I had provided a prize of Linzt chocolate and this worked as an incentive. Tonight they worked hard and as most were working social workers their responses were more developed than the morning group.
It was a lovely end and when I thanked them for their time I got a round of applause, something which does not happen in the UK.
So all is done. Three things to do in the three days left to me before home.
Meet friends and relax
Catch up on my blipper friends
Try and find some photos which will give you another sense of this wonderful country.
Sadly tomorrow the rumours are that the police will finally clear the protest sites after 73 days. I would like to go down and see this but feel it is an invasion and could get a little fraught. So I will watch the news.
Time for a good night's sleep I think.
