Angels

Humans are very open to suggestion, in evolutionary terms it makes perfect sense. Being scared of the dark makes you less likely to be eaten by predators. Believing in ghosts, spirits and angels helps to make sense of an otherwise bewildering existence.
Intellectually, of course, such beliefs are considered to be an indication of poor judgement.
Years ago, I read that the people you care about send white feathers to show that they are still watching over you when they die. I saw plenty of white feathers when my parents died - they were always there, I just wasn't looking for them.
Last night, I dreamt that my Mother was alive and making plans for the garden. I remember thinking how well she looked and wondered if she was going to be OK now and how could that be when she had been so close to death.
When I first went outside today, this feather floated down from the sky.
