Camilla Came For Elevenses!

The ping of an email at 08:50 this morning told us all that HRH The Duchess of Cornwall would be visiting the Embassy instead of going on a visit to Eastern Poland with Charlie Boy... Cue much flapping and getting offices tidied before she rocked up a couple of hours later.

A quick Google search revealed that she had been advised against travel on rough terrain, due to a back problem and so instead, arranged to carry out some engagements in Warsaw by herself. She did the rounds of our office and spoke to a handful of us, including yours truly. Protocol was to address her initially as Her Royal Highness, which we duly did, but her Lady in Waiting was very down-to-earth and suggested we all get our cameras out (having already been told not to by our own boss) and have a group picture and whatnot. I could have kissed her, for this little beaut will now be linked onto that Paparazzi forum, pronto!

Tonight I was working at the Fredyryk Chopin University, at a concert that TRHs were attending. My role was to manage the press, which meant that I couldn't very well get my own camera out... Anyway - they all had much bigger cameras than me.
