Cabo Girao

I've blipped the breath-taking views from Cabo Girao before. It's the world's second highest sheer cliff face (but they can never agree on the world's number one).

A clear and sparkling day, you can see right up to Madeira's highest peaks and way beyond Funchal.

If you'd like to see the uninterrupted glory of the view, please look back a year or two to where I've blipped it.

Today, we went up on a new novelty train from Camara de Lobos. Suitably fuelled with a glass of Poncha (the local firewater) we thoroughly enjoyed it.

The glass platform allows you to see right down to the water - and of course - everyone wants a photo.

Well worth the fun.
