Another wall

I might have gone on about the weather recently. One consequence is that the dunes get eroded and various archaeology gets more and more obvious. This pier of a wheel house first appeared as one stone about a year ago but is now increasingly an impressive bit of stonework. You look at the quality of more recent wall building - not just mine - and civilisation has gone backwards here. I just love the fact you are seeing this wall for the first time in 2000 years - month by month a little more.
Talking of old things, today we were lucky enough to attend the Grimsay senior citizens Christmas lunch. I fear we might have snuck in under the age bar but no questions were asked and so no lies told. A genial do with a variety of entertainment and we even got a party bag to take away with us.
