Spraying the trees
While having breakfast this morning, we heard a helicopter outside, rather close. We get quite a few helicopters flying around - the Rescue Helicopter, the one picking up fishermen etc, but this one was spraying our pine trees. Each year they get sprayed with a copper based spray to stop Dothistroma spreading. Dothistroma is a neddle blight which attacks the needles on the tree, eventually killing it.
It's a lovely sunny start to the day. 9.15am and it is already 18 degrees. Hopefully the day won't turn to custard like it did during the later part of yesterday afternoon.
