Will they be home for Christmas?

We visited the Christmas Tree display at Nelson Cathedral today. About twenty groups had decorated or made a tree in a theme to do with their organisation. There were pretty ones, practical ones, but this one from the Nelson Provincial Museum interested me as I have researched many of the men whose photos have been used to decorate their tree. These ones didn't come home from WW1 for Christmas.They went away on what they thought would be a great adventure only to end up under the soil of Gallipoli, Egypt,Belgium or France.

On a more cheerful note- there was a pre school group singing and also some choir ladies and it sounded so special.
