Chanonry Point

Such an icy morning. Our road and our drive would have been great if I had wanted to try out my skating, but
1. I am too old
2. I gave my skates to a charity shop before we moved
3. The dogs have lost their skates

So it was Shanks' Pony instead. I put on my "Ice Runners" and off we went down the road to the Estate, where the dogs had a good chase about. They have permanent "Ice Runners" attached to their paws so had no problems dealing with the thick coating of ice to all the paths.

The gritter came up the road at lunchtime and the sun came out so finally I was able to get the car out and went down to the beach, which was beautiful in the wintry sunshine.

Thankyou for all your good wishes yesterday, I am pleased to say that mother and baby are fine and still resting in hospital. Dad, however, is exhausted after rushing about, taking dogs out, driving back and forth from the hospital, stocking up on last minute supplies in case they get snowed in over Christmas, forgot the vital nappies and had to go back for them, cleaning the house in readiness for the new baby, phoning all and sundry etc. etc.
