Half a seat
It's Saturday so it must be time for shopping! Jess and I headed into Central Market which is vast and quite a contrast to Bath. As a nurse I think I have quite a strong stomach but the smell was quite extraordinary - probably something to do with the heat and the raw meat! We did manage to get a dress for Jess $8 and she managed to barter in Kumai .
The shared taxi you can see outside the market was well loaded - you buy a ticket for half a seat, if you want a whole seat you need to get 2 tickets. As a race they are tiny, I think most Westerners would need 3 tickets.
Have just got back from the 'F'club where we saw the Mekong Pirates - they are a great band with a style that's hard to pin down - I guess that's why they're called the Pirates. Hope HMV have got them in for when I return. I did miss my friends back home as they would have loved a dance.
Wedding was great bye the way - turns out to be a mixture of Kumai and Mormon, quite a combo:)
