No Walls
Today I took a walk with Paul on Dartmoor. We stopped at this remote location for some lunch in the open countryside, far from fields and fences. This was common ground.
Boundaries either keep people apart or hold people together. Here there were none. We had gotten away from all that.
Edinburgh - my home city - is a city of walls: Both in the way the streets are constructed, and in the Castle that presides over it all. There, you cannot escape from physical boundaries.
So I wonder: How can a space in the City be created where people are brought together in this context, rather than held apart?
