Hi, deer! We're home!

When we got home today, my son wanted to play outside. When we walked around back, there was a big group of deer resting in the yard. They were not happy to see us. They were even less impressed when my (3 year old) son started barking at them, hoping to get them to howl or bark back.

The deer just started coming back around again lately. I guess it's because it is spring. Right now, there are about 7 regulars that like our yard. By the end of summer last year, there were at least 11. It will be interesting to watch how the group changes over the next couple of seasons.

I couldn't get a good picture because everyone started scattering pretty quickly. If they are like last year's group, by the end of summer they will be unaffected by our presence.

Oh, I should note that we live in the middle of a city and not in the county.
