King of the Flumers....

We(SkateboardScotland) had a rather encouraging meeting with SportScotland last night going through the application process for being officially recognized as the governing body of skateboarding in Scotland. After a good start about 7 years ago and a wee sparse bit of chasing our tails in the middle, we are looking at possibly being able to get through the process in the next couple of months.

Found out some rather interesting information in organisations and people that have failed the process were trying to get through. Apparently there is some guy who calls himself King of the Flumers who is trying to get Water Fluming recognized. There is also the failed attempt of some Pigeon Racing association who are trying to get official recognition.

All in all very encouraging and apparently there is a Parkour association that recently went through the process who probably(though I hate to admit it) parallel our sport very well in having the same differences to mainstream sport of no league or scoring systems.

Notes on the Picture...
This is a rare wee skate session I got later on with Robbie and Kenneth up at Dunfermline. Robbie started university up in Dundee last year and I don't think I've seen him since he started up there. I swear he has doubled in height since we last met.
