Patience and Fortitude

Are the names of the lions that sit outside the New York Public Library on 5th Avenue. They are very cool indeed and I may have had my photo taken next to Patience while making a roar noise...
(The library is where my blip for today was taken, I'm not just blurting out useless information, there was a point to calling this Patience and Fortitude!)

We had a good nosy around here earlier, it's a beautiful place. So impressive and grand! I love that you can go in and wander about taking lots of pictures and nobody minds a bit. There was even a photography exhibition on on the third floor. Very blip-friendly!

This is our last day of our trip with just the two of us, not the end of the trip yet - we have another week here - but as from tomorrow M's sister (another M - this may get confusing!) is joining us :o)
So we thought we'd have a nice final day together and do indulgent things!

We had breakfast at Tiffany's (coffee while staring in the window, then a good drool inside), photos at the LOVE statue on 6th Avenue (try getting that to yourself, not easy, you have to be quick!), lunch around the corner in a lovely little French place (amazing onion soup!), window shopping on 5th Ave (when I win the lottery all this will be mine....), a wander around the library, a good look at the fabulous Chrysler Building on E42nd St and then, finally, cocktails on Times Square.

It was a good day :O)

How can there only be a week left?!
